Makers Unite NY will be meeting at 462 Halsey on the first Saturday of every month. The club is based around the DIY.org website where kids complete challenges to earn badges.

As much as we appreciate our adult volunteers, we were excited to host 2 volunteer days with middle school students. There is nothing like watching children get excited and involved in the betterment of their neighborhoods
This past Sunday, we soaked up the sun, played, planted and got REALLY dirty!
With the help of Pop Up Adventure Play, Playharvest and Microtopia, the neighborhood kids were able to play freely with all reclaimed materials! The goal was to let children use their imaginations to play with things that are usually considered garbage and in doing so, teaching them to rethink how much we throw away!!!!
